Finding information about the location of Amazon’s fulfillment centers can be a challenge. However, for sellers in Amazon’s Fulfillment by Amazon Program (FBA), it is crucial to know where their products are stored.
Storing inventory in an Amazon fulfillment center creates a physical presence, known as nexus, which may require sellers to collect sales tax in that specific state. Thus, it is important for businesses to be aware of their storage locations.
If you sell exclusively on marketplaces, such as Amazon, you don’t need to worry about collecting sales tax in nexus states because marketplaces usually take care of that for you. However, there are exceptions. In some states, even if a marketplace collects sales tax on your behalf, you may still need to register for a sales tax permit and file sales tax returns. This is especially true if you sell through your own online store in addition to Amazon.
To help Amazon sellers, we have compiled a list of Amazon Fulfillment Centers in the United States and Canada. We will continue to update this list as new fulfillment centers are built.
Please note that some Amazon facilities, such as sort centers or distribution centers, do not create sales tax nexus. If you want to know more about Amazon sort centers, you can refer to our “Where are the Amazon sort centers?” post.

Alabama
- Two more fulfillment centers are planned to open in Huntsville and Montgomery.

- There are additional fulfillment centers under construction in Oxnard, Turlock, Shafter, Victorville, and Visalia. These are expected to be operational in 2022.
Colorado
- Colorado is also home to an Amazon sort center.
Connecticut
- Connecticut is also home to an Amazon sort center.
Delaware
- Delaware doesn’t have a sales tax.
Florida
- Florida is also home to some Amazon sort centers.
- There are additional warehouses scheduled to open in Daytona Beach, Homestead, New Port Richey, Port St. Lucie, Tallahassee, Temple Terrace, and Sunrise.
Georgia
- Georgia is also home to some Amazon sort centers.
- An additional warehouse is planned to open in Augusta, GA.
Idaho

- Additional locations are planned to open in 2022 in Huntley, North Pekin, and Waukegan.
Indiana
- Additional locations are planned to open in 2022 in Elkhart, Franklin, Ft. Wayne, and Lanesville.
Iowa
- Additional locations are planned to open in 2022 in Council Bluffs and Davenport.
Kansas
- Kansas is also home to at least one Amazon sort center.
